Mattituck Historical Society Fall Festival

Cast call for actor to participate at  the Fall Festival –  October  2008 at the Mattituck Historical Society, Main Road, Mattituck, Long Island, New York, 11952.   Seeking character actor to portray the following:

FARMER FRED - A Long Island Farmer from the 1920's; particularly one who would have worked on the Tuttle Farm which is where the Mattituck Historical Society is located today.  An actual 1924 farm truck will be provided as a backdrop.  There will be various other authentic 1920's farm tools available for props.

The candidate will meet with the Museum Curator to get background information about the farm history and the various tools, buildings and materials.  The actor is responsible for providing his costume.  Overalls and a light weight shirt are recommended.

The actor will be interacting with the patrons of the Fall Festival, telling stories about life on the farm in the old days, have photo opportunities and to let guests up on the truck trailer.

The acting position runs from 10am to 3pm.  Beverages, dressing room facilities and some pay provided.
